Wheelchairs and Cushions

Using a wheelchair to get around can be very challenging. If poorly setup, using a wheelchair can lead to many complications including shoulder damage, pressure injuries, pain and problems for your carers to help you.

Our goal is to maximise your performance, reduce risk of injuries, and increase your participation in everyday life.

When you work with our team, you will have access to occupational therapists with decades of experience working in this complex area. We will work with you, your support team, wheelchair suppliers and physiotherapists to ensure that your manual or powered wheelchair solutions get you to more places, more comfortably, more easily for longer.

Beds & Mattresses

  • Getting in and out of a bed becoming difficult?
  • Can you roll around when you’re in the bed?
  • Are you at risk of pressure injuries?

Using an electric profiling bed will help you to move around and get in and out of bed as independently as possible. A mattress that works with the bed that reduces your risk of pressure injuries can also be trialled.

Hoists and Manual Handling Equipment

Moving around your home often includes getting on and off chairs, toilets, beds, and in and out of the shower. If you need help to do these tasks we use equipment to reduce the risk of injuries to your carers and loved ones.

There are many different manual handling options that we can trial and explore with you to keep you and your carers safe in helping you to move around your home.

Toileting and Bathing Equipment

There are many options available to help you to get on and off a toilet, use a toilet, get in and out of a shower or over a bath. We will trial equipment with you that might be able to help and come up with a solution that is right for you.
