Early Career / New Graduate Programme – Community Occupational Therapist L1-2
Full-time Permanent Position, Cardiff NSW

You’re invited to join our passionate Occupational Therapy team, who are changing lives of adults in the community with neurological conditions. We will help you develop a tailored skills development programme so you can build strong skills working in the community.

You will receive regular training, on-site occupational therapy supervision and case support, and work on a team supported by high quality on-site administration.

We are looking for highly motivated and passionate Occupational Therapists to join our team, to support adults with neurological conditions to live as safely and independently at home.

Our early career/ graduate programme is designed to establish your skills and maximise your growth and confidence over a dedicated 12-month programme.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills across different areas, including Assistive technology, Home modifications, and Electronic Assistive Technology access.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver high level community occupational therapy services for adults in the community. This may include clients with conditions such as progressive neurological conditions, amputations, acquired brain injury, dementia, intellectual disability, aged care, musculoskeletal conditions, traumatic injuries, palliative care, spinal cord injury and complex conditions
  • Demonstrate experience in, or willingness to learn: home modifications, assistive technology, and electronic assistive technology access
  • Be committed to working collaboratively in team, as well as able to work independently
  • Have demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, with willingness to learn reporting requirements such as required for NDIS, functional assessments, ADL assessments, equipment requests and home modifications reports


Selection Criteria

  • Occupational Therapy Degree with current AHPRA Registration
  • Experience in home visiting and community OT experience, or willingness to develop skills in this area
  • Clinical experience, student placements or demonstrated interest in home modifications, assistive technology, and electronic assistive technology
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in report writing
  • All applicants must have full working rights in Australia, a valid Driver’s License, vehicle for home visits, NDIS worker Screening check, and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
